My approach is one of openness, sensitivity and genuine interest in my client’s well-being. I strive to thoroughly understand each person’s unique personality, experiences and goals. I am direct, supportive and helpful. Emphasis is placed on working with clients to help them uncover the emotional, physical, and spiritual balance that is important to us all.
As a psychotherapist, I work with individuals, couples, families, groups, adolescents and children. Throughout the course of treatment, some areas we will work on are achieving greater intimacy in your relationships and developing coping skills to deal with uncomfortable modes and feelings. Some of my specialties are listed below:
I have successfully helped men and women grappling with: depression, anxiety, addictions, trauma and abuse, post-traumatic stress, obsessive compulsive disorders, anger management, and more.
Marriage & Relationship Counseling
In my work with couples I attempt to provide a setting in which both partners can safely explore their relationship, better understand their difficulties, to bring about desired change.
Family therapy is based on the belief that the family is a unique social system with its own structure and patterns of communication. These patterns are determined by many factors, including the parents’ beliefs and values, the personalities of all family members, and the influence of the extended family (grandparents, aunts, and uncles). As a result of these variables, each family develops its own unique personality, which is powerful and affects all of its members.
Group therapy is a type of psychotherapy that involves one or more therapists working with several people at the same time. The group setting is a place to work on individual issues with the support of group members as well as the therapist. The setting is safe and supportive, allowing group members to experiment without the fear of failure.
Consultation is for the benefit of helping clients find answers, advice and guidance for their particular concern. We assess the issues needing change and provide clients a safe place to talk with a professional without the need for psychotherapy.
Consultations and supervision are given to clinicians, clinical agencies and small family owned businesses.
